After nearly three decades of their career, Blues del Sur returns with 'Plan Perfecto', their fourth studio album. Recorded in a single take at Romaphonic studios, the album reflects the band's vital pulse and its critical reading of the present. With artistic production by Marcelo Marín, guitarist and main composer of the group, the work was recorded live in studio—a decision, according to its protagonists, driven by the need to capture the expressive urgency of the material. 'I think this is the most sincere and authentic album we could make; the lyrics and music reflect my moment over the past few years, sometimes angry and dark,' explained Marín. The lineup is completed by the charismatic Matías Fernández on vocals and harmonica; Alejandro Yaques on drums, harmonica, and trumpet lips; Hernán Herlein on bass; and Luciano Herlein on keyboards. Buenos Aires, March 28 (NA) – The album also features a series of notable collaborations: Ricardo Tapia on 'Espalda de Fakir', Vasco Bariain on 'Caída Libre', Meliza Blanco on 'Toda urgencia es mentira', Verónica Simo and Jackie del Rock on 'Un Guernica en Constitución', and a wind section with Lionel de Francisco and Lucas Clemente on 'Hagamos reír a Dios'. One of the central moments of the album is 'Roma Blues', a composition born in the studio itself. This logic also runs through other songs recorded without rehearsal, such as 'Espalda de Fakir' and 'Un Guernica en Constitución', the latter with a raw narrative that reinforces the dark tone of the collection. 'Plan Perfecto' is rooted in the tradition of the most visceral blues rock, but with an explicit anchor in recent Argentine reality, where the personal and political intertwine without mediation. The result is an urgent, organic-sounding album that prioritizes intensity over technical perfection. Blues del Sur will officially present the album on Friday, April 24, at Café Berlín, in a concert that will seek to bring to life the same raw energy that defines this new work. 'Rome is burning, and it is by its own decision / the blood paints stars in the sand / while the emperor laughs'. The album thus configures itself as a 'scream of fury'.
